The original aged distressed oak flooring. The distressing is achieved by tumbling the product in large tanks giving a more natural and random appearance. The micro bevel on this product we feel to be our family friendly floor as the micro bevelled edge does not splinter during the tumbling process (see image below).

The colouring process uses “manipulation” to induce the colour into the board. “Manipulation” means altering the nature of the tannic acid in the wood the colour is then brought out by the application of hard wax/oil.

This floor is normally supplied in an A/B rustic selection with an option also for A and B grades on request. All 4 sides are tongue and grooved and knots are filled with our own compatible filler. Finished with a silicic acid reinforced hard wax/oil which gives a virtually maintenance free, fully repairable floor in 21 different colours and widths from 14cm to 26cm in solid oak.
